social-bookmark-icon1I have been trying to find the most useful social bookmarking tools for my blog, since I couldn’t find a good list out there I decided to post the list I found.

These are the ones I that are the most interesting…

  • ShareThis – Lets your readers bookmarks posts and share with friends. Also provides analytics on their sharing habits.
  • AddThis – Plugin for bookmarking your blog posts and submitting them to social news sites. It’s a simple, free widget blog owners can add to their site that shows a number of bookmarking options at the end of a blog post (there’s also a feed reader widget for easy RSS subscriptions). Readers can bookmark the post on Digg, Del.icio.us, Stumbleupon, Google Bookmarks, Bluedot and other services with a single click. As an example, we’ve added an AddThis button to the end of this post.
  • Apture – Links specific words or phrases on a web page to multimedia content like images, video, maps, music and more from 20+ sources. Keep visitors on your site, instead of sending them away. Embed media with a single click without urls or codes.
  • CommentLuv – Enables you to reward your blog readers by leaving a titled link to their last post automatically whenever they comment thus encouraging more comments by more people on more posts!
  • Outbrain – Lets users rate blog posts and suggests similar content from your blog and elsewhere.
  • Plista – Shows similar stories or products.
  • Snap – Adds a “preview” function to the outgoing links on your blog.
  • Zemanta – Automatically adds links, pictures, and tags to your blog posts.
